Our modern guest house was lovingly built with family and friends who visit Austin in mind. We purchased and renovated the main house in 2019 and completed the guest house renovation, landscaping, and deck in 2020. This beautifully designed unit is nestled in the back corner of our property and is surrounded by trees and an enormous deck where you can hang out, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
Located in the Hancock neighborhood just north of downtown and the University of Texas, we are one block away from the Hancock Golf Course and the Commodore Perry Hotel. You are within walking distance of Jo’s Coffee, numerous restaurants and cafés, bike routes, and public transportation. In just a short 15-minute walk, you could find yourself at Shipe Park and pool, the Elisabet Ney Museum, Hyde Park Bar and Grill, Uncle Nicky’s, Asti, Quack’s Bakery, Fresh Plus Grocery, and more.
Our guest house was thoughtfully designed in the Craftsmen style of our 75-year old home. The naturally light-filled house is ideal for couples, business travelers, or people who are just exploring our great city. It features wood floors and a three-panel sliding glass door in the living room that let in tons of light.
The bedroom features a queen-sized bed and has a large casement window that brings in the morning light. If you prefer to sleep in and have a lazy morning, use the black-out shade so that you can stay in bed and sleep until you’re ready to explore our amazing city.
The living room has a 40" tv, tons of books, games and a turn table. The kitchenette includes a fridge, stove, Nespresso coffee maker and toaster oven. The cabinets are fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and pots and pans.
