Bright and sunny, this historic four-square home has three covered porches, a fenced deck, spacious foyer, living room, dining room, a den, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and pantry/baking area, and laundry room. The gas range heats right up for gourmet cooking.
The reunion house has heart pine floors and woodwork. The main floor is covered with high, double-hung windows and 9-foot ceilings. The glass front door is flanked by beautiful ornate windows. Period antiques appear throughout the house including an early 20th c. piano and built-in china cabinets.
The downstairs bath contains a new, modern walk-in shower. Upstairs holds a beautiful cast iron tub with rain shower above.
Set on half- acre double lot right downtown, the reunion house has plenty of room for parking and to wander among the oak trees and young, long-leaf pines and to take beautiful walks or bide rides in historic old DeLand.
There’s always something happening downtown whether it’s the many events and parades, or among the pubs and restaurants. There are regular performances for the public from one of the finest music schools in Florida or the restored Athens Theater, each only a block away.
Sands Theatre Center and African American Museum of Arts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at David Disney Tennis Center and Victoria Hills Golf Club. Gillespie Museum and Bill Dreggor's Playground are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures.
